Meet Andrew

Andrew initially became actively involved in East Gwillimbury issues through his advocacy surrounding 31 Sand Road, where he helped unite residents to raise awareness about the historical and cultural significance of the property. His efforts helped highlight the importance of protecting local heritage while ensuring residents have a meaningful role in shaping the future of their community.

Recognized as a co-Newsmaker of the Year for his continued advocacy on issues affecting the East Gwillimbury community, Andrew continues to demonstrate the impact residents can have when they come together, engage in the municipal process, and ensure their voices are heard."

Residents may recognize Andrew from his numerous deputations before Council at Town Hall, where he brought forward concerns and ideas on behalf of community members. These presentations have addressed issues including fire and emergency services, community heritage and preservation, responsible municipal spending, government transparency, and meaningful public participation in local decision-making.

Outside of his community advocacy, Andrew is a proud animal lover and is often seen around East Gwillimbury with his dog, Storm. Whether attending Town Hall, community meetings, or local events, Storm has become a familiar companion within the community.

Now running for Ward 1 Councillor, Andrew is committed to bringing that same dedication to the Council table by promoting transparent and accountable government, responsible decision-making, and a stronger connection between residents and their municipal representatives.
